FAQ

What is coaching?

Coaching is a collaborative conversation designed to help you gain clarity, explore patterns, and move forward more intentionally. Rather than giving advice or solutions, I ask questions that help you see your situation from new perspectives and identify the next steps that feel aligned for you.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Coaching focuses primarily on the present and future, clarifying goals, exploring possibilities, and supporting forward movement. Therapy often focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions or processing past trauma. I am not a therapist or medical professional, and coaching is not a substitute for therapy or mental health treatment.

,How long are sessions? How often would we meet?

Individual sessions are 45 minutes and are typically held over Zoom. I work with you to determine how often we meet, but typically clients meet with me every other week. Consistency allows time to explore patterns and build momentum toward meaningful change.

Is coaching confidential?

Yes. Your privacy is very important to me, and everything shared during coaching sessions is treated as confidential within the limits of the law.

For training and quality purposes, sessions may be recorded so I can review my coaching and generate follow-up summaries for you. These recordings are kept private, used only for professional development or session recap purposes, and are not shared publicly. If recordings are used for training review, identifying information is removed whenever possible.

Details about confidentiality and recording are also outlined in the coaching agreement you will review before beginning our work together. Questions are always welcome.

What kinds of topics can we work on in coaching?

Clients bring a wide range of topics to coaching, including personal growth, career decisions, relationships, life transitions, motivation, boundaries, and creating more alignment in daily life. Coaching can support you in clarifying goals, understanding patterns, and building momentum toward meaningful change.

What happens during a session?

Sessions are conversational and reflective. We begin by identifying what you would like to focus on, then explore the topic through questions, reflection, and awareness. Most sessions end with identifying insights or next steps you want to take before our next conversation.

What makes your coaching approach different?

My coaching style is reflective, curious, and grounded in helping people become more aware of their patterns, values, and internal motivations. Rather than offering advice or quick fixes, I focus on creating space for thoughtful exploration so that the insights and next steps come from you.

This approach often leads to changes that feel more sustainable because they are aligned with what genuinely matters to you.

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

Coaching is helpful for people who feel ready to explore their life more intentionally but may want support gaining clarity, shifting patterns, or moving forward on goals that matter to them. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting. Many clients begin coaching simply knowing that something in their life or work is asking for deeper reflection or change.

If you’re unsure whether coaching would be helpful for your situation, a discovery call is a simple way for us to talk through what you’re hoping for and see if coaching together feels like the right fit.
